Alexandre Pólvora is a connector of people, things and information. He is currently a Policy Analyst / Researcher at the Foresight, Behavioural Insights and Design for Policy Unit, aka EU Policy Lab, of the Joint Research Centre, European Commission, in Brussels. His main work is now focused on collaborative, transdisciplinary and future oriented frameworks for evidence based advice to policy, with projects as “Co-creating a European Ecosystem of DLTs for Social and Public Good”. He can also be found exploring convivial, open and distributed science and technology models via projects as “Making Sense: Advances and Experiments in Participatory Sensing”. He was previously Researcher at CETCOPRA, Université Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne; Associate Researcher at Vitruvius Fab Lab and at the Centre for Research and Studies in Sociology, ISCTE-IUL / University Institute of Lisbon; and Visiting Researcher at the Department of Science and Technology Studies, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He also worked as Associate Researcher and Consultant on participatory and community-based CSO/NGO projects at local, national and international levels.
