Bob Trafford is a researcher and project coordinator for Forensic Architecture, a University of London-based research agency developing new forms of evidence and documentation in the investigation of human rights cases. Forensic Architecture undertakes advanced architectural and video analysis with and on behalf of international prosecutors, human rights organizations, and citizen activists.
Forensic Architecture uses open-source information to expose human rights violations by states and militaries, and to challenge false narratives around them. The agency presents the results of investigations in legal and political processes, and to the public through gallery exhibitions and partnerships with major international media organisations. Bob joined Forensic Architecture in 2017 after three years as a freelance investigative reporter.
He has a BA in Philosophy and Theology from the University of Oxford and an MA in Investigative Journalism from City, University of London. His freelance work has been featured in The Times, The Intercept and the Independent.
